No petroleum based solvents

Kojex Enviro – Permanent Cold patch™ contains none of the petroleum based solvents found in traditional cold asphalt mix, such as:

• Benzene – A colorless chemical known to be a highly toxic carcinogen.
• Kerosene – Commonly used as jet fuel.
• Diesel – A major component of air pollution.
• Toluene – An easily metabolized and toxic hydrocarbon once used as race car fuel.
• Naphthalene – Also known as mothballs.

These solvents are carcinogenic, posing serious threats to the environment and to human health. One of the major concerns regarding these products is their Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) content. VOCs contribute to respiratory ailments in workers, to the formation of smog and to the contamination of soil and groundwater.  

No Volatile Organic Carbons

Kojex Enviro – Permanent Cold patch™ has virtually zero VOC's. The biodegradable solvents used in Kojex Enviro – Permanent Cold patch™ are derived from renewable sources and provide for its long term sustainability. They pose virtually no risk to wild life, marine life, domestic animals, human health or the environment as a whole. The use of these solvents also reduces our dependence on petroleum.

High quality materials

We further our dedication to "Green" manufacturing by using 40-60% recycled asphalt pavement, which reduces our need for sand and stone mining. We are able to use 70% less fossil fuel during production because Kojex Enviro – Permanent Cold patch™ is manufactured at a lower temperature. We use 100% recyclable packaging for our 50 and 60 pound bags and we also offer bulk sales. All of these factors contribute to a significant reduction in our company's carbon footprint.

There is NO sacrifice in quality nor is there much of an increase in cost when using Kojex Enviro – Permanent Cold patch™. Our product is a direct replacement for its traditional counterpart and it is offered at a competitive price.
